We sent questionnaires to 2,300 randomly selected readers for cable installation and maintenance, asking them what they had achieved in 1998, as well as questions about their formal education, specific training for the sector and type of company they work for. Ninety-eight of you, from 31 states and the District of Columbia, returned usable questionnaires.
This is a 4% response, which does not statistically represent all of our approximately 25,000 readers. However, imagine that you and 98 of your peers from across the country have gathered to discuss compensation issues. We believe our data is as valuable as the information you would get from a discussion like this, and that's what we offer you.
