As
noted in an old but still relevant article by Richard S. Anderson, RCDD,
"When all the elements of ownership and management of a cabling services
company are reduced, the ultimate goal is to create a fair and fair profit
system. Entrepreneurs have a clear interest in increasing profits Different
business approaches are available to try to increase profit levels
Organizations can increase sales volume, obtain more efficient use of materials
and labor, distribute product lines that bring margins above the average,
reduce overheads and efficient job offers to have predictable and achievable
costs and margins Many organizations can and employ more than one of these
approaches.
"Some
actually still use the pencil and paper method, which is inefficient and
subject to huge errors. There is also the use of pre-printed forms, where
contractors fill in the blanks with the specifications of the job offered.
While it is a one step ahead of paper and pencil, this approach gives an
unprofessional look. The important "personalized touch" that is
absolutely essential for many potential customers is missing. Many contractors
use Excel spreadsheets as a basis for construction offers. Tools calculation
allow customization and are more efficient than the other methods already
discussed.
